D.A.R.E TO MAKE A CHOICE!

Over the past 5 weeks room 9 have had the privilege of having Constable Hayden in our classroom to teach us proper ways of
resisting peer pressure, how to work together and how to handle bullying.

We watched a few videos for examples of peer pressure then stopped for a discussion break. We then predicted what we thought would be an appropriate way of dealing with it. Next we watched what the consequences would be if they chose a specific choice.

Day after day we would learn something new. Constable Hayden also introduced us to the choice box which is a private way to ask personal questions and they would be read out anonymously and answered. After all the questions were answered Constable Hayden would make sure that the paper the questions were on would be shredded at the police station so that they will never be seen again! Sounds dramatic but it made us happy and less vulnerable to ask deep questions.
