LEST WE FORGET

We have been learning about the ANZACS because they fought for our Country and they helped Britain fight.

ANZACS stands for Australian New Zealand Army Corps!

World war 1 started by one murder.

It was called the Great war because people thought it was so terrible that it could never happen again.

People joined the army because they thought it would be cool to be in the war but when they got there they were wrong.

The ANZACS were planning to take the TURKS by surprise but since the army was in a hurry and given the wrong orders they went to the wrong beach.

Room 9 made ANZAC  biscuits because we found out that the ANZACS had to have food rations. A lot of food  had already gone off while the shipment was on its way to the ANZACS, so they made a special biscuit that wouldn't go off on the way to the ANZACS.
